Colour | Texture | Historical patterning and a touch of whimsy!

With a curious mind, I’ve always been intrigued by patterns and the threads of history.  Colours and textures inspire me.  On family car trips, growing up in Japan, I remember Mum often shouting out “John, stop the car!”as she spotted another glorious scene to photograph”

Now I’m the one forever stopping the car to take photos as I spy another piece of  iron lacework.  It’s the lacework that is often the starting point in my designs.  As I work, a touch of whimsy can emerge.
